On the 17th, 18th and 19th of February 2006 Master Nestor Galarraga lead an International Umpires Seminar in London, United Kingdom.

Over 50 participants traveled to participate including Master Nicholls VIII, Master Hogan VII, Master Wolf VII, and Master Harry VII on the new ITF International Umpires course, which included an examinable element in order to be awarded the qualification and designation of “ITF International Umpire”. An encouraging sight to see so many high ranking Masters in Dobok still willing to learn and improve their own education and knowledge.

The course covers all aspects of tournaments procedures, including the requirement that participants perform Taekwon–do patterns to demonstrate that they have the knowledge and technical ability to score them in competition. Administrative procedures have also been included, addressing issues such as how to create tournament brackets, and general event management. Particularly enjoyable but a little off topic was when Master Galarraga broke the ice with some self defense examples having everybody tapping out.

The course was concluded with a question and answer section, with Master Galarraga asking various students to demonstrate aspects learned through out the weekend.

On behalf of UKITF we would like to thank Master Galarraga and Mr. Fernando Perez for the time and continuing support through out the course. Also the UKITF Masters who were in attendance. Once again proving we are constantly working to ensure our members are receiving the best possible tuition from our Instructors, and remain dedicated to continual growth and support through learning and training together in the art of Taekwon-Do.

Curso de Arbitro en Londres, Reino Unido un curso de Arbitro Internacional en Londres, Reino Unido.

Los días 17-18 y 19 de Febrero de 2006 el Master Néstor Galarraga dirigió un curso de Árbitro Internacional en Londres, Reino Unido.

Mas de 50 participantes viajaron incluyendo al Maestro Trevor Nicholls VIII Dan, Maestro Hogan VII, Master Wolf VII, Master Harry VII en un nuevo curso Internacional de Arbitros, que incluyó un nuevo ítem de examinación para ser concedidas las calificación de “Arbitro Internacional de ITF”. Se pudo ver Maestros de alta graduación en dobok que todavía quieren aprender y mejorar su propia capacitación y conocimientos.

El Curso cubrió todos los aspectos de procedimientos del Torneo, incluyendo que los participantes realicen las formas de Taekwon-do para demostrar que tienen el conocimiento y la nivel técnico para dar puntuación en las competencias. Se incluyeron también procedimientos administrativos de un torneo, tales como hacer una llave y el manejo general. Un asituación muy grata se vivió cunado el Maestro Galarraga rompió el hielo y fuera de programa, dió ejemplos de defensa personal dejando a todos golpeados.

El curso concluyó con una serie de preguntas y respuestas, en cuales el Maestro Galarraga preguntó a varios estudiantes para que demuestren aspectos aprendido durante el fin de semana.

En nombre de la UKITF queremos agradecer al Maestro Néstor Galarraga y a Fernando Pérez por el tiempo y el continuo apoyo a través de este curso. También a los Maestros de la UKITF que participaron, una vez mas probando que estamos constantemente trabajando para asegurarle a nuestros miembros que reciban la mejor enseñanza posible de nuestros instructores y que se mantengan en continuo crecimiento, y además apoyar conjuntamente con el aprendizaje y el entrenamiento al arte del Taekwon-do.
